Executive Summary: King Khalid University (Abha) Brainstorming Room Project From Idea to Strategic Implementation 1. Idea Phase (Creative Start) The idea stemmed from the need to create an unconventional environment that breaks the mold of traditional meetings and training sessions at King Khalid University. The goal was to create an "ideas lab" that stimulates free thinking and innovation, moving away from bureaucratic routines, to serve as a hub for incubating entrepreneurial projects and solving university problems creatively. 2. Planning Phase (Study and Methodology) This phase focused on several key areas to ensure the room's effectiveness: Needs Analysis: Studying the brainstorming requirements in terms of space, flexibility, and idea flow. Architectural and Psychological Design: Selecting colors that stimulate creativity and distributing natural and artificial lighting to prevent eye strain. Technology Selection: Planning to integrate smart glass whiteboards covering the walls to allow for the recording of ideas at any time in a collaborative manner. Furniture Selection: Focusing on flexible and easily movable furniture to configure the room in various ways to suit the nature of each workshop. 3. Implementation Phase (Practical Realization) The project was implemented according to the highest professional standards, including: Infrastructure Preparation: Equipping the hall with all necessary technology, from interactive display screens to advanced sound systems. Glass Walls: Installing glass panels designed for easy writing and erasing, providing the team with unlimited space for drawing diagrams and creating mind maps. Provision of Tools: Providing all necessary stationery (colored pens, sticky notes, prototyping tools) to facilitate the visual thinking process. 4. Operation and Impact The hall began hosting work teams and consultants (led by Dr. Khaled Al-Kathiri and his team), becoming the main hub for: Strategic planning sessions for the university. Complex problem-solving workshops. "Idea Generation" Sessions for Transformative Initiatives within Saudi Vision 2030. In conclusion: The brainstorming room at King Khalid University is not merely a meeting place; it is a strategic tool carefully designed to be a catalyst for innovation.
