Consultations

This analysis was prepared by Dr. Khaled Al-Kathiri to develop a comprehensive training roadmap for Elaf Group, a leading hotel and tourism operator. The project focuses on enhancing human capital efficiency and ensuring that employee skills align with global hospitality standards.

Methodology Used (Competency-Based Methodology)

The analysis was based on the scientific "Competency-Based" methodology, which follows a precise sequence to ensure the accuracy of training outcomes, according to the following stages:

Job Analysis: Breaking down job roles into specific daily tasks.

Skills Identification: Identifying the technical and behavioral skills required to perform these tasks.

Competency Development: Formulating a competency matrix that represents a combination of knowledge, abilities, and personal attributes required for each job level.

Training Pathways Identification: Based on identified gaps, precisely targeted training courses are allocated to address a real need and measure their impact on performance.

Analysis Objectives

Accurate Diagnosis: Identifying the skills gaps between current and target performance in the group's hotels.

Optimal Investment: Directing training budgets towards programs that serve direct operational objectives.

Service Quality: Enhancing the customer experience by raising the efficiency of frontline and administrative staff in accordance with Elaf standards.

Expected Outcomes: A customized training manual for each sector within the group.

An updated competency matrix aligned with the group's future vision.

Recommendations for specialized training programs that support organizational excellence and sustainability in the Saudi hospitality market.

Conclusion: Adopting job analysis as the basis for determining training ensures that the training process is transformed from a mere "activity" into a "strategic investment" that achieves a tangible return on investment in hotel performance and employee satisfaction.
